A phone with a 41megapixel camera?
Today at the Mobile World Congress, Nokia announced the release of the 808 PureView, a phone with a 41 Megapixel camera… 41 MEGAPIXELS?!? Now, at first I didn’t understand how this would work considering the size of each file, luckily, the phone actually converts each picture individually so that you don’t have to worry about uploading. Sounds complicated? Watch this video.

How To Network Across Cultures
Great stuff from Andy Molinsky, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Brandeis International Business School. Picture this: You are at a networking event and see across the room a potential employer from a company you’re interested in. You walk over to that person, look him in the eye, and say the following: “Hello, I noticed that you’re from IBM. I’m very...

Tech Startups Need Non-Techies to Succeed
I say it to everyone and anyone that I come across who is building a product or service without the assistance of a specialized business professional. Don’t get me wrong, it is great to have your Accountant taking a second and third look at your model, however, there has to be a combination of “what you do” and having a person near by that understands and provides you with the...

Hot Wiring Entrepreneurship in Detroit
entrepreneuradvocate: “It’s an exciting time to be an entrepreneur. There are no shortage of problems to solve, ever-lowering barriers to entry, and near-ubiquitous access to low/no-cost technologies, which makes damn near anything possible. I adore working side-by-side with those who also see the world as an experience in which to participate rather than just consume. I am constantly energized...

2 years ago, Paul Romer shared his vision of a “Charter City”, an idea that you can create a place that would promote democracy and trade if given a designated space and enough freedom for it to be built responsibly from the ground up. This city just might happen in Honduras. (click here to view the his first Talk)

When Should a Small Business Hire a Finance Chief?
By DARREN DAHL  via NY Times:  At Quickoffice, which sells software that allows users to create and edit documents on mobile devices, Alan Masarek always enjoyed getting deep into the numbers of his business — almost as if he were chief financial officer instead of chief executive. That is because Mr. Masarek, who helped found the Plano, Tex., business in 2002, has a background in finance....

The Tweaker: The Real Genius of Steve Jobs
Great piece by Malcolm Gladwell of The New Yorker. I never was a big fan of Steve Jobs, and I am sure that I wasn’t the only one that rolled an eye ball or two after hearing people describe him as the greatest inventor of our time. This guy badgered me about how Microsoft was going to completely change the world with this tablet PC software and eliminate all notebook computers, and...
